The Show

Rupert Elford, (a.k.a. Elfic the Jester and Professor Elfic), delivers a unique insight into self-employment, using circus skills, magic, comedy and audience participation. Drawing on his own entrepreneurial experience, he delves into advertising and competition, launching and sustainability, finance and training, proving it is all a careful balancing act. He discusses the ups and downs of running your own business whilst balanced on a walking globe, magically disappears and re-appears money whilst talking finance and masterfully manipulates the many different hats needed to be worn by an entrepreneur! He precariously balances on the free standing ladder of success. before nervously walking the entrepreneurial tightrope.

Rupert combines teaching with stand-up comedy in what proves to be a hilarious yet educational and inspirational performance. (Show length - 45 minutes)

Rupert graduated in 1988 from Bristol University with a degree in Chemistry and an ability to juggle. His passion for circus skills and performance led him towards a career in entertainment. He trained at Bristols Circus School before setting up in business to perform in every imaginable venue in the South West. In 1995 he won 'Jester of the Year' in Covent Garden and more recently has performed as one half of 'The Desmond Tutu Unicycle Ballet Troupe'.
